Photo etched
    Unlike the previous methods, this process is a “chemical” process where the designs are transferred on a metal base. This process enables high detailed designs and significantly reduces the thickness of the material. All enamel colors are filled in by hand and one color at a time, lapel pins will be fired in an oven after all the enamel colors is filled. The regular thickness for photo etched pins is 0.8mm and usually to epoxy dome on the surface to protect the enamel colors.

Note:
3. Epoxy coating can be applied to make a transparent dome for protection purposes.
4. Laser Engraving can be applied on metal areas only. Screen printing can be applied on enameled areas and metal areas.

For Best Result:
1. Bolder designs are recommended in order to prevent any unsatisfactory coloring caused by lines and figures that are too thin or too small. Additional screen printing process may be required.
2. Enamel coloring requires a surrounding metal space to ensure good quality coloring results. Therefore it is necessary to have a blank metal rim (0.35mm minimum). If you require a full-piece coloring, a special printing may apply- Screen printing.
